QUALITY MATERIALS

At Meld the quality of our jewellery is extremely important to us. We want our customers to be able to wear their jewels every day, with peace of mind, but it’s important to care for them well to help them to live their best life.

All our gold plated jewellery is made by electroplating 18k or 14K gold onto stainless steel, high quality brass or 925 Sterling Silver.

As metals like gold and silver are very delicate, without the right care they can go through a process called oxidation and fade over time. Gold plated jewellery can also experience discolouration when exposed to a number of chemicals, salt water, perfumes and lotions so to keep your pieces looking their best for as long as possible be sure to read through our full Care Guide below.


CARE GUIDE

Store your jewellery in a soft pouch, indoors, in a temperature controlled environment. It is best to keep your pieces out of humidity and direct sunlight.

Use the microfibre polishing cloth we supply with every purchase to brighten up your jewellery and remove any chemical residue or tarnishing.

To keep your pieces looking their best for longer, we recommend removing them before swimming, gymming, bathing or sleeping.

Avoid contact with chemicals, salt water, perfumes and lotions to increase the longevity of your jewellery pieces.

Pieces with stones are susceptible to becoming dislodged or chipped when stored incorrectly so try to keep them protected in a soft jewellery pouch, which we also provide with every order.


STOCK & PACKAGING

We keep our stock levels conservative to avoid creating unnecessary waste, while being nimble enough to deliver the pieces you want, on time.

Our box and pouch packaging comes with each order. It is beautifully crafted and designed to be reused to store your jewels and is perfect for gifting.

WARRANTY

All purchases made through Meld Jewellery's online store include a 60-day satisfaction warranty, effective from the date of purchase. This warranty covers manufacturing faults and material defects but does not apply to issues caused by normal wear and tear or mishandling.

Our Warranty Covers:

Manufacturing faults: Items assessed and proven by our team to have defects in workmanship or materials.

Our Warranty Does NOT Cover:
  1. Wear and tear from normal use, including but not limited to:

    Tarnishing or fading of plated jewellery
    Chain breakage
    Scratches or marks
    Items bent out of shape, especially softer base metals like 925 Sterling Silver 

  2. Loss or damage due to mishandling: Includes loss of stones, chipped or broken pearls, shells, or gemstones.

  3. Metal/material sensitivities: Reactions to jewellery materials are not eligible for refund or exchange. We recommend checking product materials before purchase if you have sensitivities.
